About Me

CAPT Christopher K. Wells

Chris is an active duty Navy Captain, systems engineer, and aspiring communications professional. He has commanded two US Navy warships and is assigned as the Director of the Commander’s Action Group at the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. CAPT Wells is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Strategic Communications at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

CAPT Wells has deployed worldwide in five theaters conducting joint and combined exercises and operations with over 50 Allied and partner nations.

CAPT Wells has various personal and unit awards including two Legion of Merits, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, three Meritorious Service Medals, four Navy Commendation Medals and two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.

In 2019, CAPT Wells led an award-winning cross-functional team at Joint Forces Staff College in their work on improving Information Operations for use in Great Power Competition.
